Washington offers an excellent educational system, from pre-kindergarten to post-secondary. Strong community support
for our schools is evident in the various ways volunteers are involved in our schools. In addition to an excellent public
school system the community supports a K-6 private school. Kirkwood Community College has a local center offering a wide
variety of courses for fun and recreation, to earn an Associates Degree, continuing education, computer training, or complete your high
school education.

The
Washington County Hospital & Clinics currently
offer a family birthing center, surgical facilities, a
Clinical Outreach Dialysis Unit and a multitude of specialty
clinics. Adjacent to the local hospital are two general
practice medical clinics. The hospital hosts seventeen
active physicians. The community also offers several
options for family dentistry, eye care, audiology, mental
health counseling, physical therapy, massage therapy, and
chiropractic care. There are four nursing homes and two
vibrant retirement communities.
